摘要：

We shall discuss mathematical modeling of a tumor, the most recent progress (joint work with many others) on the PDE tumor models, stability, and the numerical implementation, and their implications on biology.

报告人简介：

胡钡教授，美国圣母大学应用数学计算统计系系主任、美国数学会教授委员会成员、中国人民大学兼职教授。多年来从事偏微分方程反应扩散方程理论和应用的深入研究，专长于运用数学分析的工具对爆破问题、金融数学、生物问题的数学模型进行研究。现任International Journal of Stochastic Analysis, Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems-B，Nonlinear Analysis-Real World Applications等杂志的编委。主持美国国家科学基金6项，两次获得Kaneb教学奖，先后多次组织国际学术会议。在重要学术会议做邀请报告百余次，在ARMA、CPDE，SIAM JMA等杂志发表论文百余篇。
